Obama Refuses to Comply with Court Injunction

In May Federal Judge Katherine Forrest issued an injunction against the indefinite detention provision of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). This provision allows the President, at his discretion, to detain any American indefinitely without filing legal charges or bringing them to come to trial
Tangerine Bolen, one of the plaintiffs in the ACLU’s anti-NDAA lawsuit, reveals in a recent oped in the Daily Cloudt that the Obama administration refused to disclose in federal court whether they were in compliance with the injunction.
Government attorneys have stated on record that even war correspondents (like Chris Hedges, another plaintiff) could be locked up indefinitely under the NDAA.
Judge Forrest reminded the administration attorneys that the President will be in contempt of court if he defies the injunction. I wonder if going to jail will improve his re-election chances. Eugene Debs was in jail when he ran for president in 1920. He got more than a million votes.
