RE: Feathered Quill review

I've included the Feathered Quill review to give readers an idea what The Battle for Tomorrow is about. However I totally disagree with the comment that the book has no soul or heart. I have a sense that the reviewer doesn't have a whole lot of experience with working class teenagers. It was extremely important for me to portray the character of Ange realistically, and it's impossible for a 16 year old to experience that much trauma without it affecting her personality. I find it interesting that the first reviewer finds Ange "vivacious" and "head strong," which she is. She also laughs and cries and gets super excited about things and has a terrible temper - like many other teenagers. However like most teenagers and adults who have been traumatized, when really bad things happen she tends to be extremely detached. This really seems to bother Amy. In my view, it's Ange's detachment that allows her to be strong enough to leave home and high school, get arrested and spend six weeks in juvenile hall. To tell her story in any other way wouldn't be very realistic.

Hi Calvin, the North American Bookdealers Exchange is a genuine organization and judging for their Pinnacle Achievement Award is by professional writers and critics.

So I'm a little puzzled why you would call this a "fake" award and exactly what type of conspiracy you are referring to. Please enlighten me.

I simply used Brand New Book – The Battle for Tomorrow @ The Most Revolutionary Act as the entry title in my Digg.com bookmark, as I figured if it is good enough for you to title your blog post that, then you probably would like to see it bookmarked the same way
